Why West Virginia Needs a Stronger Voice in the Middle

Across our state, people are frustrated — not because they’ve given up on West Virginia, but because the loudest voices in politics no longer speak for them. Most of us aren’t living on the far left or the far right. We’re in the middle, working hard, raising families, and trying to build a future we can be proud of.

Yet the political extremes dominate the conversation. They drown out the reasonable, practical voices of everyday West Virginians who simply want government to work, communities to thrive, and opportunities to grow.

That’s why I helped launch West Virginia Moderates and Independents for a Better Future — a place where people who share these values can come together.

This public Facebook group isn’t about party loyalty. It’s not about shouting matches or ideological purity tests. It’s about something far more important: bringing people together to focus on solutions that actually help our communities.

We talk about rebuilding the middle class, strengthening local economies, improving education, and making West Virginia a place where young people want to stay and build their lives. We do it with respect, honesty, and a commitment to listening to one another — even when we disagree.

If you’re someone who believes politics should be constructive… If you’re tired of the extremes speaking for you… If you want to be part of a community that values common sense and real‑world problem‑solving…

I invite you to join us.

West Virginia Moderates and Independents for a Better Future is growing, and your voice can help shape the direction of our state. Together, we can build a better future — one grounded in respect, practicality, and the shared belief that West Virginia deserves more than the politics of division.
